Welcome to our Circuit Service Resources.
Each quarter we will add additional resources to enable Local Churches in the arrangement of worship when not having a preacher. Each service includes a video of a sermon prepared by one of our preachers or ministers and a word document including some prayers they have written, the Scripture readings for the services, and a number of recommended hymns from which to choose appropriate music for your congregation. There is also a detailed 'Intercessory Prayer Guide' which is provided for you or someone in your church, to prepare prayers of intercession for the service.
To save a video to your computer, open the link and then either right-click on it and click 'Save Video as...' or click on the three dots in the bottom right of the video and click 'Download'.
Lichfield Methodist Church: Becoming a Justice Seeking Church
Please see the attached document which lays out a sermon series based on the Lectionary this autumn and unpacking the key themes and principles of the 'Justice-Seeking Church Report’ adopted by conference this past summer. I encourage you to read through it and consider using it in your church or in your preparations for leading worship and preaching. Anyone who wishes to have the handbook and guidance for implementing the report please let me know as I have a handful of copies in the office.
