The Methodist Church is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life and ministry. Safeguarding is about the action of the Church takes to promote a safer culture. This means we will:
- Promote the welfare of children, young people, and adults.
- Work to prevent abuse from occurring.
- Seek to protect and respond well to those that have been abused.
If you have a safeguarding concern or question, we recommend first contacting your Local Church Safeguarding Officer.
However, if you require further assistance or if your Local Church Safeguarding Officer is not available, please fee free to contact any member of the Circuit Safeguarding Team.

The Methodist Church in Britain Safeguarding Training:
Those requiring Foundation Module training are now able to complete this online and those requiring the Advanced Module will be also be able to access an online version from June this year.
