A Prayer for Israel & Palestine

Saviour Jesus,
you wept over Jerusalem,
longing to gather her people together
as a hen gathers her chicks.

As we witness the violence and suffering in your Holy Land,
our hearts break.
Our hearts break for the people of Israel and Palestine,
for all who have lost their lives, their loved ones, and their homes.
Our hearts break
at the fear and trauma which continue to mark daily life for many
Our hearts break for all who have lost hope.

God of justice, peace, and compassion,
we pray for all impacted by the escalation in conflict in Israel-Palestine;
we pray for those who work for peace in the region,
and we pray for world leaders that they may work for Justice and peace.

Holy Spirit bring peace and healing to your troubled world.
Amen
