About the Basingstoke & Reading Circuit

The Basingstoke & Reading Methodist Circuit was launched on September 1st 2014, created from the former Basingstoke Circuit and the Reading & Silchester Circuits. We have pooled our rich resources of people with their gifts and talents, together with the experience and history of our churches to form this new Methodist Circuit in North Hampshire and South West Berkshire.  We are circuit number 26/4 of the Southampton District, please see the following link for the other circuits in our district: http://www.southamptonmethodistdistrict.org.uk/about-us/circuits/

The new Circuit covers an extensive geographic area and we have divided this area into three ministry teams as follows:

Central Reading and Caversham

This includes the following of our churches:
Caversham (Gosbrook Road), Caversham Heights, Caversham Park (LEP), Christ Church Woodley (LEP), Trinity Lower Earley (LEP), Wesley, Whitley, Woodley Airfield Church (LEP).

The people from our ministry team for this area are:

Revd David Shaw, Revd Jenny Dowding, Mary Ludlow, plus 2 ministers, Revd Martyn Neads and Revd Jon Salmon with Ann Baker from our LEP churches.

West Reading

This includes the following of our churches:
Emmanuel, Tilehurst, Bradfield, Burnt Hll

The people from our ministry team for this area are:

Revd Andy Moffoot, Revd David Jenkins, Deacon Maria Howard, Abi Ord.

South and Central

This includes the following of our churches:
Burghfield Common, Christ Church Chineham (LEP), Immanuel (LEP), Kempshott, Mortimer, Oakley, Oakridge, Old Basing, Silchester, St. Andrew's, Tadley Common, Tadley Main Road, Trinity Basingstoke.

The people from our ministry team for this area are:

Revd Ruth Midcalf, Revd Alison Parker, Deacon Marlene Skuce, Angela Stark, Anya Woodbridge, plus 2 ministers from our LEP churches.
